Our story

Studio Deloryan

Studio Deloryan started as a friendly duo who found themselves asking the same question over and over: Where can we find a great horse game for grown-ups?

We couldn’t wait playing a good horse game, but most games out there target young girls. The games will contain fancy rainbows, unicorns and pegasi, drawn in a style similar to Barbie or My Little Pony. We couldn’t find a game close to our likings and thus we thought of building a game of our own.

We had some ideas, but nothing really stood out. That was until we found the domain horsereality.com was still available. That quickly sparked our inspiration and excitement. We emailed back and forth, bursting with ideas. In a short period of time we pretty much wrote an entire encyclopedia full with our inspiration.

Dedicating our spare time bouncing between books about colour genetics, code and photoshop. Each day we came one step closer to our goal. Slowly our first game Horse Reality came to life. It doesn’t stop there, we plan for many more games to come!

Core Values

Our Culture

We believe in a small and diverse team from various backgrounds and cultures. Our team members come from various backgrounds and cultures, allowing us to see things from different perspectives. It ensures we come up with the best ideas and solutions.  Having small teams means less bureaucracy and management. It makes us fast and agile.

The result? Getting things done!

Happy Life

We believe that a happy life equals a productive and motivated team member. We take care to maintain a healthy work-life balance because we want to live life to the fullest. However, sometimes life just happens... We understand this and will make sure you get the crucial time needed to deal with that.

Team Spirit

On your own, you are strong. As a team, unstoppable. By combining our perspectives and backgrounds we create great work. We are a team, we work together and help each other in times of need. We trust that you will do your best to finish your work and ask for help ahead of time, so we can tackle a problem before a real issue arises.

Stay True & Involved

We are open and honest. We talk with our players and involve our community during game-development as much as we can. We listen and incorporate feedback in the best way possible. We make this collaboration easier by making (most) information public and manage expectations by our honesty. When something goes wrong, we aren’t afraid to admit a mistake has been made. We’re all humans.

Keep Learning

We open our minds and change our attitudes by what we already know. We expand our skillset to spark new ideas and develop future opportunities. We’re always hungry for knowledge.

Be the best. Anywhere

You will be at your best when you work at a place you feel comfortable in. Whether this is at home, our HQ or a café in Bali. You get the best results when you get to decide when and where you want to work.

Colleagues

Dominika (27) – Equine Artist

Why did you want to work here?

A project like Horse Reality gave me a unique opportunity to work on something that combines three things I love; art, horses and games. Since I started playing horse simulators I wanted to work on one, and I finally got the chance to do so.

What was your previous job?

I have a bachelor’s degree in Multimedia and for a while I worked in game development studio as 2D artist, focusing mostly, but not exclusively, on mobile games.

What do you do in your spare time?

I create my personal projects, play video games, manage my art business (which technically isn’t spare time, but it sure feels like it sometimes) and spend time in the stable with my horses.
